EncoreScout ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

Search queries

When you search for an artist, that artist name is sent to our server to fetch event data from Ticketmaster and store the result in our cache. We do not link search queries to individual users or store any identifying information alongside them.

Location data

If you choose to enable "Sort by Proximity," your browser requests your device location. This location is used only in your browser to calculate distances; it is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.

Usage analytics

We may use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand general usage patterns like page views and session duration. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

Advertising

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show you relevant ads based on your prior visits to websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.

Cookies

EncoreScout stores a single item in your browser's local storage ("locationPreference") to remember whether you previously granted location access, so we can automatically sort by proximity on your next visit. No tracking cookies are set by EncoreScout itself.
